Our Team

Physician Assistants (PA-Cs) are state licensed/federally certified health care professionals who practice medicine with the supervision of a licensed physician. At Orthopaedic Specialty Group, our PA-Cs work as a team in a close and dynamic association with our orthopaedic surgeons. This includes performing physical examinations, ordering X-rays, administering certain injections, and prescribing medications and physical therapy. PA-Cs also respond to patient calls to answer questions, explain test results, and help with patient care decisions. In addition, PA-Cs work as surgical assistants in the operating room to allow the safest and most efficient completion of the simplest procedure to the most complex procedure.

Postoperatively, the PA-Cs will manage your recovery in the hospital and beyond. This includes addressing your concerns, questions, and prescription needs throughout your return to health. All of these services are an extension of your doctor’s care and direction.
