Job Purpose:

At Orthopaedic Specialty Group, Physician Assistants provide outstanding Orthopaedic outpatient and surgical care.

Job Duties:

• Carry an independent office schedule with MD on premises for support as needed. Includes new patients and new problems, as well as pre and post-operative care.
• Responsible for ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests including XRAYS, MRI’s, etc.
• Carries out orthopaedic procedures such as joint injection, aspiration, casting, splinting, and bracing.
• Documents patient care via Electronic Medical Records.
• Responsibly prescribes medication, braces, and other orthopaedic devices.
• Takes an active role in patient education.
• Contributes to team healthcare approach through quality, detailed work, and effective documentation as well as oral communication.

Skills/Qualifications:

• NCCPA certification and CT License required.
• Ideal candidate must be able to thrive in fast-paced environment where quality patient care is essential.
• Orthopaedic experience preferred, but will train strong candidate.
• Candidates must have strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be detail oriented, and have an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, and the ability to apply orthopaedic concepts.
• Must be capable of demonstrating professional composure in emergent or stressful situations.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• References are required.
