Radiology Technologist- Full Time

General Description

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations, the Radiologic Technologist participates in the clerical and technical work components of the department in accordance with office policies and procedures and prescribed radiation safety procedures. The Radiologic Technologist maintains patient confidentiality and ensures that the delivery of radiology services is professional, timely and accurate at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Escorts patients to and from the x-ray department.
  • Takes x-rays as directed by ordering physician.
  • Completes the entry for x-ray procedure code and pricing within EMR.
  • Schedules, documents and coordinates out-patient testing and follow up care.
  • Provides x-rays, reports and related test results as requested.
  • Monitors inventory of supplies and notifies supervisor when supplies are low.
  • Provides x-rays for associate referrals in a timely fashion.
  • Creates CD’s with requested imaging
  • Maintains a clean and well organized work area at all times.
  • Will be cross trained in reception

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be flexible with weekly work schedule, along with a willingness to travel to various OSG satellite offices and/or OrthoFast when required (Milford, Fairfield, Monroe, Shelton and future locations). Coverage includes evenings and some Saturdays.
  • Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program and American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry.
  • Connecticut state license required.
  • Minimum of 3-years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Experience in Orthopaedic procedures required.
  • Experience with digital imaging a plus.
